My friend Sarah and I are driving from Phoenix to Ontario. It is quite the undertaking.
Today we drove from Scottsdale, Arizona to Amarillo, Texas by way of Flagstaff and Albequerque, and across a time zone. Just about 11 hours in the car. Super fabulous!
The slightly incongruous feature was the snow in the mountains of Arizona that continued on through New Mexico. It was good to start out in flip flops since it was warm in Phoenix, but when we stopped in Moriarty (actual place!) for dinner and in Amarillo at the hotel it was quite chilly. In spite of this I will probably wear them tomorrow as well, since we are looking to put in a nine hour day in order to get to Arkansas.
We made a delightful selection of road trip cd’s. They help. As do the car snacks.
